A travelling Exhibition of Works by 15 Sculptors, Febuary 1980

The idea for this show came about because I felt it would be both important and interesting to gather together a number of works by a number of Sculptors, each working with their own philosophical parameter; all created within a certain enviroment, over a paticular period of time, as a kind of reflection or stetement about their paticular involvment, each with a different idea of space and material, realising that although each person's approach may be different, there is still a crossover point of purpose and idea, and perhaps because of this, an interaction will allow itself to take place btween the works and the artists taking part, and the spectator who will perhaps be able to identify with certain aspects of the visual phenomenon, when confronted with it on such a diverse scale, and perhaps because of this, a kind of renewal process will be allowed to happen, creating the necessary atmosphere for the continuation of that visual language.
